Expression of Funeral Wishes
An important part of our personal, caring and compassionate approach to every family we are privileged to look after is our close attention and detailed understanding of the specific wishes, preferences and arrangements you may wish to be made for your funeral.
As you are the person most likely to know precisely how you would like your funeral to be arranged and conducted, expressing and documenting these in advance not only gives you peace of mind, but will also greatly assist your loved ones and family in knowing what you would wish them to do at a time when they are already grieving.
This document is not intended in any way to be prescriptive – indeed, there may be sections you wish to leave open. It is simply designed to assist you in thinking through and expressing your very personal wishes about the arrangements for your funeral.
Of course, it is both important and helpful if you discuss your wishes with those likely to be directly involved at the time. Always ensure that they either have a copy or know where it is kept. If you wish to nominate H J Paintin to conduct your funeral, then you can file a copy with us and it will be held strictly in accordance with our data protection procedures. Some people and their families also choose to place a copy of their wishes with their Will.
These wishes do not have any legal status, but will normally be followed by your next of kin, family, executors and those involved with the arrangements for your funeral.
Any discussions or advice you may wish to have with one of our funeral directors or support team will be free of charge and of course, in strictest confidence.
